Lisa S. Gruen, Trainer

Chesapeake Dressage welcomes Lisa Gruen as trainer and instructor here at our facility.  she has 15 years experience in this area, including nine years as an instructor at Linda Zang's Idlewilde Farm.

Lisa was awarded the Maryland Dressage Association Trainer of the Year 2003, based on her students' successes for the 2003 show season.  This included their wins a Champion and Reserve Champion, Winner of the Finals class at the Open show, and Medals for Rider Achievement with scores of 65% or higher.

She was selected to be demo rider with Tai, her 5 year old Dutch Warmblood at the Young Horse Training Symposium with Steffan Peters at Hilltop Farm.

We invite you to attend our Training the Trainer clinics to watch her ride.  She is also available for trailer-in lessons, as well as horse training.

 

 

Mark t. donaldson, VDM, dacvim


Mark T. Donaldson, VMD, DACVIM with Unionville Equine Associates, P.C. is a native of Chester County, received his Bachelor of Science from Villanova University and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After completing an internship at the University of Georgia he returned to the University of Pennsylvania for a residency in Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He joined the practice in January of 2005.

 

 

Todd Meister, VDM, FARRIER

With interests and expertise in physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, medicine, and horse shoeing, Todd lends an exceptional perspective and invaluable skills to the Chester County Farrier Associates practice.

Combining his advanced veterinary knowledge with hands-on practice as a farrier, Todd serves to bridge the gap between farrier, veterinarian, and client. For owners and trainers, he is an indispensable resource and trusted liaison, offering insight into both equine health and performance. By integrating medicine and craftsmanship, Todd provides Chester County Farrier Associates clients with a well-rounded and holistic approach to equine well being that is unparalleled in the field.

  • 1990 - Bachelor of Science in Biology, Penn State University
  • 1995 - University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine
  • 1999 - Conducted Anatomy Clinic for Pennsylvania Professional Farriers Association
  • 2000 - Delivered horse shoeing component of Equine Holistic Medicine Clinic

Timothy R. Ober, DVM

Dr. Timothy Ober is the veterinarian for the U.S. Equestrian Team and a member of the U.S. Equestrian Federation Equine Drugs & Medications Committee. He regularly visits CDI when not traveling the world, attending to U.S. equine athletes at the World Equestrian Games, the Olympics, and other FEI competitions.
